A few days in Faro: Old town part two

It was wonderful to wake up in the morning to no alarm, to wake alongside the sunshine & sit on the balcony with a pot of hot coffee & fresh bread slathered with fig jam. Heaven. We got dressed slowly every day with no plan aside from bathing on beaches on slowly wandering the town to see what it could offer us.

I loved seeing the Hibiscus flowers dancing gently in a breeze. There were olive & lime trees lining the streets and Mathieu was always jumping up to see if they were ripe enough to steal away. The hazy smell of street cafes, coffee, suncream, & the sun. I couldn't help but take pictures after pictures of the houses that were peeling, painted, and sun washed. Their tiles crumbling but still standing beautifully. The cobbled streets, friendly locals, & ice cream. Take me back!

Apologies for the hundred photos of the sunset I just couldn't say no to them all. Such a rare sight when you live in Britain.

Have you got a favourite sun-soaked town like this?
